Wealth Over Life

10

Unplanned development, outright disregard for environmental laws occasioned by the reckless exploitation of our forest and mineral resources, and unbecoming militarism continue to pose alarming threats to human, animal, and plant life in Ghana, especially in the areas of sustainable supply of good drinking water and maintenance of a healthy environment capable of enhancing lives and livelihoods.

In this  3rd Edition of the Development Report Magazine, we have engaged some of these institutions such as the Community Water and Sanitation Agency to discuss their reforms and strategies towards ensuring quality and sustainable water supply. The Water & Sanitation for Urban Poor (WSUP) and other sector players have also been engaged to help us better appreciate  Ghana’s ability to meet the Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) and provide possible solutions to the sickening crave for Wealth over Life to the detriment of human, animal and plant life in the country.
